Dylan has wanted to have a "sleepover" birthday party since Logan had his 1st sleepover when he was in the 2nd grade. I've been telling him he had to wait until he was in the 2nd grade, but he ended up with 2 of his buddies spending the night (along with their older brothers!), so yes, we had 6 boys at our house Friday night! Logan had a ballgame so we did not make it home until close to 10:00. After I made sure they all bathed (remember we came from the ball field) I went to my room and did not come out until 8:30 Saturday morning so I have NO idea what time they went to sleep...I guess they slept! When I did get up, they were outside filling up the sand box with water, along with some garbage bags...who knows what they were thinking!!!

Dylan's 7th birthday

Dylan turned 7 on May 17th. We celebrated as usual by grilling out that night with family and a few close friends.

Michael graduated at 9:00 am on Friday, May 11th from Marine boot camp in Parris Island, SC. It was an honor and privilege to witness such a special event. We are so proud of Michael! I'm glad the boys were able to experience this memorable occasion.

After the "Emblem Pinning" Ceremony Michael was allowed to show us around the base. The footprints are where the recruits stood when they stepped off the bus upon arrival to Parris Island. We were able to see his barracks and the obstacle courses.

Michael's Marine Boot Camp Graduation

We left Wednesday, May 9th, headed to Beaufort, South Carolina to see Michael. We were at the Marine base (Parris Island) at 6:00 am Thursday morning to see their "Motivational Run" then back at 1:00 to see the "Emblem Pinning" Ceremony. We were able to visit with Michael on base from 1:30 to 7:00 pm. He graduated at 9:00 am on Friday, May 11th.

Spring Break

It's been a while since I've posted, but we have been EXTREMELY busy. The boys were on spring break the week of April 16th-20th and we stayed at Lake Eufaula the whole week. We had to come home Tuesday night for ballgames and just spent the night at home since it was so late when they were over. We had reservations thru Saturday but Logan had a game Friday night so we just came on home. Harold, Jr,. Valorie and Zachary came up Thursday night and stayed til Saturday and pulled the camper home for us. Shane, Stephanie, Colby and Courtney camped right behind us so the kids had a great time since they had someone besides each other to play with. Logan fished from the shore soon after we got there and caught a fish within 5 minutes! I'm still new at this, but I'm going to try to post a few pic's without taking up so much room...

Logan's 1st game was at 2:30. He is still very much into baseball...he definitely gets his talent from his Daddy. MawMaw even made it to the game!

Dylan's 1st Game

Dylan's 1st game was Saturday at 12:30. He is really into it this year. Last year he played in the dirt most of the time...he would even bring me rocks from the field (he was so proud). When a ball DID come his way, he would just watch the ball roll by! This year he started out running after the ball no matter where it was at...he could be at 3rd base and would run over to 1st base to get a ball! His coach has him playing 1st base and it has been hard for him to stay in his position...he still wants to run after the ball. He is doing really well so far this year...but I guess he should be since this is his 3rd year in T-ball...
